  21. I don't know. However, I think I must have seen at least five in 
  22. the past two months. They are invariably extremely widely 
  23. distributed and almost all carry a notice that they are really 
  24. legal -- which is about as good as the paper they're not written 
  25. on <grin>.

  27. I dare say that chain letters were not anticipated by the sci fi 
  28. writers of years past who anticipated world-wide computer networks 
  29. <grin>. I certainly didn't anticipate them and didn't even see 
  30. them (with the notorious Dave Rhodes exception) in profusuion 
  31. until this spring. Wonder what happened? Do you suppose it has to 
  32. do with the ozon hole?
